Nothing to do with a certain fruit - iFest in Boston

28iFest-Boston-219x300For the first time, Birgitta will represent the Burren Smokehouse at the iFest in Boston. It will take place from 26 to 28 September.

The motto of the festival is see, hear, taste, experience the Best of Ireland. It showcases everything that Ireland is famous for - music and dance, Irish kinds of sports like hurling (try your hand at it in the simulator!), sport stars and Irish costume designer Joan Bergin, or cultural events like the Literary Salon; there will be a spotlight on genealogy and finding your roots, and also on tourism and hospitality.

And of course there will be the Food Village where the Irish foods take pride of place. You can have your own (afternoon) tea party in Boston, or taste all the different kinds of cheeses, bake wares etc. That is of course where the Burren Smokehouse will have their stall.

There will be cookery demos with well-known Irish chefs like Kevin Dundon (photo), Catherine Fulvio and Darina Allen.

This fair will have something for everybody! It will feature the very best of the Irish culture.

Another fair in September where we will be present will be the Speciality Food Fair in London which runs from 7 to 9 September 2014.
