Distinction at the Irish Quality Food Awards

The results are finally out for the Irish Quality Food Awards 2014. The long wait is over. And here is the big news:

We won the "Best Fresh Fish Award" with our Burren Smoked Irish Organic Salmon with Seaweed!

Bruce Langlands, Director of Foods at London's prestigious department store Harrods, congratulated Birgitta Hedin Curtin last night to her continued success. They met at the Awards Dinner which took place at the Mansion House in Dublin.

 

 

The Irish Quality Food and Drinks Awards are open to all Irish retailers, food producers, wholesalers, and food service operators in both the North and South of the island of Ireland. The awards draw on the heritage and expertise built up over 30 years by the UK Quality Food & Drink Awards, now a consumer27Irish-Quality-Food-Awards-2014-112x150-recognised brand.

The judging took place over two weeks in July at The Dublin Institute of Technology’s School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology.

Every product was evaluated by at least 10 highly experienced judges so the feedback that each producter received has been incredibly useful. Winning means that we have independent confirmation that we have an outstanding product and have been found to be the best of the best.
