There was a time in autumn of last year (2014), when we had one film crew after another visiting the Burren Smokehouse. One of them was the Holiday Show produced for the Irish TV station TV3. The aim of that show is to promote Irish holiday destinations. And let's face it, we have an awful lot of places that are worth spending a holiday there!
They were filming at locations in the Shannon area of counties Limerick and Clare, and we were selected to be one of them! Ciara and John, the hosts of the show, visited King John's Castle in Limerick, went walking in the Burren with Hazel Mountain Chocolates owner John, tried their hand at making chocolate in the same place, went on a cruise under the Cliffs of Moher, and finally at 13 minutes into the video, arrived at the Burren Smokehouse.
In different episodes of their show, the Wild Atlantic Way is being explored and discovered. The wild, unspoiled west and its mysterious landscapes is exactly what drew Birgitta (and many other people) here and made her stay here in County Clare.
