Chutneys are condiments that are being used on the side to accompany assorted curry dishes, or with cold meats like you would use pickles or herb jellies. You can add a spoonful or two of chutney into a meatloaf or meatballs to change the flavour a little, or you can add some to a gravy. It also makes a nice vinaigrette when added to some vinegar and oil.
