Finalists in eir business Chambers Ireland Awards

We are proud to have been voted finalists in two categories of the eir business Chambers Ireland Awards 2026. These two categories cover the two sides of the Burren Smokehouse business: the side of creating a superfood – manufacturing – and the tourism side, which is dedicated to educating our visitors about smoking salmon and sustainability.

We have been named a finalist in the following categories:

Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism Business of the Year and
Manufacturing Company of the Year

What criteria are these categories based on?

The awards recognise excellence, innovation, sustainability, and business performance across Ireland, and we are extremely proud to be shortlisted nationally alongside a strong group of Irish businesses.

Our submissions highlighted recent operational, sustainability, tourism, and manufacturing developments across Burren Smokehouse. These included production growth, sustainability initiatives, operational systems development, and a continued integration of traditional artisan production with modern manufacturing and business systems.
