Chef Trevis L Gleason and Birgitta Hedin Curtin, the owner-manager of the Burren Smokehouse, had the idea for this cookbook. It features a rich array of recipes that chefs, food producers and other people from the Burren area in County Clare cook when they have family and friends around for dinner.

Perishable products will be shipped in insulated pouches.

Author and Chef Trevis L Gleason and Birgitta Hedin Curtin, the owner-manager of the Burren Smokehouse, had the idea for this cookbook, aptly named “Burren Dinners”, when they met for the Burren Slow Food Festival and talked about his previous book “Dingle Dinners”.

It highlights the food that chefs, food producers and other people from the Burren area in County Clare cook when they have family and friends around for dinner.

Famous chef Neven Maguire from MacNean House & Restaurant in Blacklion wrote the foreword for this fine and beautiful book.

Trevis’ latest book highlights the very best of the Burren, from food and recipes to the people, producers and chefs from the area who make their local produce into something truly special. These seasonal recipes really help to bring the magic of this area to light.

Award-winning author and chef Trevis has asked the people of the Burren to share their favourite recipes. They were inevitably influenced by their rugged surroundings and the many delicious, local ingredients grown and produced in the Burren. Explore recipes from mouth-watering favourites like mussels in a creamy wine sauce, grilled lobsters with lemon mayonnaise, a trio of steak sauce and smoked parsnip purée to Cheesecake.

This book caters for many different preferences. It makes you want to try out the recipes and get a taste of this beautiful area from the creative, passionate and hard-working lovers of food that live there.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SHIPPING
We use UPS for destinations outside Ireland, and DPD for within the island of Ireland*. Both UPS and DPD deliver door-to-door.

WHAT COUNTRIES DO WE DELIVER TO?
We deliver this product to Ireland, Northern Ireland, UK, all European countries, the US, Canada, Japan and Hong Kong.
We do not deliver to Australia nor New Zealand due to customs regulations.

DO YOU DELIVER TO POST OFFICE BOXES?
We will not be able to use PO Box addresses. We will always need a physical address to be able to deliver to the recipient.

We need a valid post code, zip code or Eircode for destinations in the Republic of Ireland. We will not be able to process your order without one unless the destination country does not have a post code system (like Hong Kong).

HOW TO CALCULATE THE FREIGHT?
The freight costs depend on two variables: the destination and the weight. The first kilo is always the most expensive one, every following kilo to the same address gets charged at a lower rate. Also, the weight is rounded up to the next full kilo (2.5 kg = 3 kg in shipping weight terms).

See here for more information about freight - you will find downloadable information on how to calculate the freight.

HOW LONG WILL A DELIVERY TAKE?
For deliveries to Ireland and most countries of central Europe, shipments take 24 hours to arrive. For deliveries to countries further afield like the US, Japan, Canada it takes 48 hours. To the UK, some areas in Switzerland and islands, the delivery can take 2 days.

WHAT ARE THE DISPATCH DATES?
We send out our fish products on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (except for bank holidays). We do not dispatch on Thursdays or Fridays because we want to avoid that the order gets stuck in a depot before the weekend in case of a delay of delivery.
